Centre des sciences de Montréal

From Baby Dino to Superpredator

Come face to face with the most up-to-date scientific representation of a T. rex!

What did this creature look like before it grew into a 7-ton monster that was 12 metres tall? Discover how T. rex grew from a baby into an adult thanks to life-sized constructions and superbly accurate replicas of this dinosaur’s bones.

According to the fossil record, T. rex was a fearsome killer. Explore the anatomy and sensory capabilities that helped this giant dominate all the competition.

Meet the Superfamily

The T. rex is the most famous superpredator, but the tyrannosauroids superfamily includes dozens of species that evolved over more than 100 million years!

Explore the T. rex evolutionary tree and meet some of its smallest and fastest members thanks to models of three related species: ProceratosaurusDilong and Xiongguanlong.
